Traveling Construction Laborer -Underground Fiber Optic Company:

Full-time, W-2 (weekly pay) — 100% travel, no experience required, we train About the Work SBR installs underground fiber optic infrastructure on projects across multiple states. We are hiring laborers to join our traveling crews. No fiber experience needed — if you show up, work hard, and are willing to travel, we will teach you the trade. Housing is covered. Responsibilities Assist the plow and bore crews during conduit installation Hand dig and pothole to expose and protect existing utilities Spot for equipment operators and help maintain a safe work zone Set and backfill vaults, pedestals, and flowerpots Pull and handle conduit, install couplers, and place warning tape and trace wire Assist with traffic control and flagging as assigned Perform site restoration: backfill, grading, seeding, and straw placement Take and organize field photos as directed by the crew lead Load, unload, and secure materials and tools for transport between projects Keep the job site clean and free of debris Requirements No prior experience required — willingness to learn and follow direction is what matters Willing and able to travel out of state for extended periods (typically 3-6 weeks on, then home time) Valid driver's license preferred Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work on your feet all day Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including cold-weather markets Must be able to work safely around heavy equipment and active roadways Comfortable with shared crew housing while on assignment Dependable and drug-free — travel crews depend on everyone showing up Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate — on prevailing wage projects, pay follows the applicable Davis-Bacon wage determination for that project and classification Lodging provided and paid by the company — hotel or furnished house (Airbnb), arranged before you arrive. Housing is shared with the crew; each worker has their own bed and private room when available Weekly pay ; workweek runs Sunday through Saturday Overtime paid per federal and applicable state law Steady work across multiple states — as one project wraps, we move to the next Clear path to advance into equipment operation and crew lead with experience W-2 employment (this is not a 1099 position) Southern Broadband Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Pay:
