In this vital role, you will be instrumental in implementing erosion prevention measures to protect landscapes and infrastructure during construction projects. Your hands-on skills and attention to safety will ensure projects progress smoothly while safeguarding the environment. You will have the opportunity to learn about various erosion control measures, sediment control, clean-up and maintenance, as well as machine operation and safety. This position offers an energetic work environment where your physical strength, mechanical aptitude, and safety consciousness will drive success every day. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair erosion control measures such as silt fences, temporary stone entrances, straw wattles, and erosion mats. Operate power tools and heavy machinery safely to assist with site preparation and installation tasks. Conduct routine inspections of erosion control devices to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards. Follow OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure work environment. Perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy materials, digging trenches, and setting up barriers with proper techniques. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and implement construction plans effectively while adhering to environmental guidelines. Read and interpret erosion control plans to execute erosion control strategies accurately. Qualifications Proven experience in construction environments, particularly with erosion control projects preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance is advantageous. Physical capability for heavy lifting, climbing, manual handling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Why Work With Us?
