We partner with property owners and management teams to help improve, maintain, and enhance their properties through quality workmanship and efficient project coordination. Our team supports a variety of property improvement needs, helping multifamily communities complete projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. We take pride in being a dependable partner from project planning through completion.Overview:
At MMCS, the Laborer supports construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects across Middleton Meyers' multifamily properties. This position works as part of a small field team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.What You'll Do:
Assist with apartment renovations, repairs, and property improvement projects. Perform general construction and manual labor as assigned. Assist with demolition, cleanup, painting, repairs, and installation work. Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites. Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Properly use and maintain hand tools and equipment. Report job site issues, safety concerns, or material needs to the Leadman or Foreman. Work cooperatively with team members, vendors, and subcontractors as needed. Complete assigned work according to MMCS quality standards. Inspect and verify the quality and completeness of their own work before reporting it as complete. Correct deficiencies identified by the Foreman or management. Take pride in maintaining a professional appearance and quality workmanship.Typical Project Experience Needed:
Experience or willingness to work on projects such as: Apartment unit renovations and upgrades Interior and exterior repairs Painting, drywall, flooring, and finish work Roofing, siding, soffit, fascia, and exterior repairs Plumbing, HVAC, and electrical improvement projects Common-area and amenity renovations Leasing office and maintenance facility improvements Asphalt, concrete, drainage, and site improvements Fencing, lighting, and property improvements Demolition, cleanup, and general site preparation What You Need toSucceed:
2+ years construction or general labor experience preferred. Ability to bring your own basic tools (tape measure, drills, small saws, etc). Multifamily renovation or maintenance experience is a plus. Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred. Valid driver's license preferred.What To Take Note Of:
Work is primarily performed at active construction and renovation job sites. Position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting throughout the workday. Ability to regularly lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to dust, dirt, noise, weather conditions, and typical construction hazards. Work may occasionally require early mornings, extended hours, or schedule changes based on project needs.The Perks:
