Responsibilities Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and coax cables on aerial structures systems. Operate aerial construction equipment such as bucket trucks, lashers, drills and other construction machinery safely and efficiently according to safety standards. Climb poles and structures safely while adhering to OSHA regulations and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). Support telecommunications outside plant operations by interpreting technical schematics, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides. Maintain detailed records of work performed Maintain company vehicle clean, stocked and orderly ensuring no return trips to the office. Be available 24/7 for an on-call rotation. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on telecommunications or construction projects involving low voltage cabling. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment such as bucket trucks confidently and safely. Strong understanding of fiber optic systems installation, and telecommunications network infrastructure. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and schematics Climbing ability with proper safety procedures; comfortable working at heights on poles or towers.
