ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on position for a skilled Hardscape Technician who takes pride in their craft and wants to be part of a team that does quality work. You'll be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of patios, walkways, retaining walls, driveways, and outdoor living spaces — working closely with crew leaders and project managers to deliver results that exceed client expectations. Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00/hr based on experience

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 10-hour days starting at 6:45 AM | Some weekend availability during peak season

Location:

Based in Indian Trail, NC with projects throughout the surrounding service area

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Install pavers, natural stone, brick, concrete, and other hardscape materials according to design plans and specifications. Construct retaining walls, raised planters, steps, edging, and decorative borders. Grade and prepare sub-base materials (compacted gravel, sand, crushed stone) to ensure proper drainage and long-term stability. Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, plate compactors, and small equipment safely and effectively. Read and interpret project plans, site drawings, and client instructions. Determine materials and quantities needed for each project. Perform site cleanup, debris removal, and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Collaborate with landscaping crews on integrated outdoor projects. Communicate any site issues, material shortages, or project concerns to the crew leader promptly. Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on hardscape installation experience (residential or commercial). Demonstrated knowledge of paver installation techniques, base preparation, and drainage principles. Ability to read basic site plans and follow verbal and written instructions. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Based in Indian Trail, NC with projects throughout the surrounding service area. Strongly Preferred Basic understanding of grading, slope, and drainage management. Equipment operation experience (skid steer, mini excavator).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a physically demanding, fully outdoor role. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, handle pavers, block, and stone, and perform sustained physical construction work in varying weather conditions.
