Blast and Paint Shop Laborer Location:
Youngstown, Ohio Position Type:
Full-Time (40 hours per week, with potential overtime)
Overview:
The Blast and Paint Shop Laborer performs general construction work as directed by the superintendent and is responsible for the physical work activities associated with industrial painting. Our blast and paint shop handles a wide range of project sizes, including large-scale surface preparation and coating of new fabrications as well as smaller maintenance, repair, and touch-up jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform blasting and painting tasks as instructed by the superintendent Carry out physical labor including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects for extended periods Safely operate hand tools, power tools, machinery, mobile equipment, and other blast and paint shop equipment Work at heights and in confined spaces as required Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and instructions Complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner to meet project deadlines
Work Schedule:
Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, primarily during daytime hours Occasional night or weekend work may be required, depending on project deadlines Normal workday hours are generally 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, but may vary based on job needs Some weeks may consist of four ten-hour days Position includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break; packing a lunch is recommended
Qualifications:
