Properly follow all company policies andOSHA/MSHA
regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager. Assist in completing work orders and purchase orders accurately and timely. Assist in completing driver reports and ensure equipment availability for the next shift. Assist in ordering parts (as required) and maintaining appropriate inventories as directed. Assist in repairing malfunctioning equipment and parts as necessary. Fulfill the Company's mission statement personally and within the shop. Follow all established company policies. Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required. Other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Knowledge in construction required. Previous related experience in the construction field. Work Requirements Must be 18 years in age or older. Must possess a vailid drivers license. Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Possess a strong work ethic and high standards for safety in the workplace. Must have the ability to work without close supervision and the ability to work effectively with others. Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, and Coveralls. Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations. Knowledge/Skill Requirements Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction and paving. Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. Physical & Work Environment Requirements- Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
- Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
- Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
- Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
- Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
