Absoloot Recycling is looking for a dependable, hardworking Laborer to join our team. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced scrap metal recycling yard. We are looking for someone who is willing to work, stay productive throughout the day, and help wherever needed. This position involves working outdoors, handling scrap metal, cleaning and organizing the yard, and assisting equipment operators and other employees with daily operations. Job Responsibilities Sort and separate different types of scrap metal Help unload customer vehicles and trailers Move and organize material throughout the yard Remove wheels, tires, and other components from vehicles and scrap Assist with processing A/C units and other recyclable materials Perform general yard cleanup and housekeeping Sweep, pick up loose material, and keep work areas organized Prepare material for shipment and processing Assist equipment operators and other team members as needed Help keep customer and equipment areas clear and safe Perform other general labor duties as assigned Employees are expected to remain productive throughout their scheduled shift. During slower customer periods, employees will be expected to work on cleanup, material preparation, organization, maintenance-related housekeeping, and other assigned projects. Requirements Dependable and able to report to work on time Able to work outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions Able to perform physically demanding work throughout the day Able to lift approximately 50 lbs. or more when necessary Comfortable working around scrap metal, heavy equipment, dust, dirt, and noise Willing to learn different materials and recycling processes Able to follow instructions and work safely around heavy machinery Must work well with others and be willing to help wherever needed Previous construction, warehouse, automotive, recycling, or general labor experience is helpful but not required

Schedule Full-Time Monday-Friday:

8:00 AM-5:00

PM Saturday:

8:00 AM-12:00 PM Applicants should have reliable transportation and be available for the scheduled working hours.
