Brotherton Pipeline, Inc. is hiring Equipment Operators and Laborers for our Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) crews. We are looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals with construction, excavation, pipeline, utility, heavy civil, or related experience. Previous HDD experience is preferred but not required. Most of our work is out of town. Applicants should expect frequent travel, extended stays near project locations, overtime, weekends, and extended shifts based on project needs. About Brotherton Pipeline Brotherton Pipeline, Inc. is a family-owned underground utility contractor based in Gold Hill, Oregon, with more than 40 years of experience in HDD, pipeline construction, auger boring, and underground utilities. Our crews have completed challenging projects throughout the United States and around the world. HDD Equipment Operator Operators safely operate equipment in support of HDD and pipeline construction, including: Excavators Skid steers Backhoes Telehandlers/forklifts Water trucks Vacuum excavation equipment Other HDD support equipment Responsibilities include: Excavating and maintaining HDD entry and exit pits Excavating around existing utilities using safe-digging practices Backfilling and site restoration Handling and positioning pipe, drill tooling, equipment, and materials Loading and unloading equipment and materials Performing daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance Working safely with spotters and ground personnel Assisting with HDD ground operations when equipment is not being operated HDD Laborer Laborers work directly with operators and drill crews to support HDD and pipeline operations.

Responsibilities include:

Potholing and hand digging to expose existing utilities Assisting with HDD entry and exit pit operations Handling pipe, drill rod, tooling, hoses, and materials Assisting with drilling fluid and mud-management operations Spotting equipment and assisting operators Rigging and material handling Site setup, cleanup, backfill, and restoration Using hand and power tools Performing general construction labor as needed Qualifications Valid driver's license required Heavy equipment operating experience required for Operator positions Construction, excavation, pipeline, utility, heavy civil, or HDD experience preferred Class A CDL strongly preferred. Non-CDL applicants must be willing and eligible to obtain one Ability and willingness to travel regularly and work away from home for extended periods Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended shifts Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and active construction operations Must meet applicable company and

drug and alcohol testing requirements when performing safety-sensitive duties Experience with HDD, underground utilities, excavation around existing utilities, excavators, skid steers, backhoes, vacuum excavation, pipe handling, rigging, drilling fluids, welding, fabrication, or equipment maintenance is a plus. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding outdoor construction position. Employees must be able to work on uneven terrain, regularly bend, kneel, climb, push and pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
