Job Overview Join our dynamic underground construction team as an Underground Construction Crew member! In this energetic role, you will be at the forefront of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting vital telecommunications and fiber optic network infrastructure. You will work outdoors in diverse environments, utilizing heavy equipment and precision tools to ensure seamless connectivity for our clients. Your expertise will help build reliable communication systems that connect communities and support modern digital needs. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop technical skills while contributing to essential infrastructure projects. Duties Perform trenching and excavation activities for the installation of underground utility infrastructure. Install conduits, ducts, and related underground systems according to project specifications and safety standards. Assist with Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) operations, including equipment setup, bore path preparation, and material handling. Construct, install, and maintain utility vaults, handholes, and access points for underground networks. Implement and maintain traffic control measures to ensure the safety of workers, motorists, and pedestrians in accordance with local regulations. Conduct site preparation, backfilling, compaction, and restoration to return work areas to their original or specified condition after project completion. Operate and maintain construction tools and equipment while following company safety policies and procedures. Coordinate with supervisors and crew members to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and within project timelines. Perform routine site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety requirements. Support other underground utility construction activities as assigned to meet project objectives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs (34 kg) safely. Willing and able to work outdoors in various weather and environmental conditions. Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Willing to travel and work across multiple states as project assignments require. Ability to follow safety procedures and comply with company and regulatory standards. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew. Previous experience in underground utility construction, telecommunications, or civil works is an advantage but not required.
Pay:
$1,100.00 - $2,000.00 per week
