Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery and performing labor tasks to support project completion efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety procedures. Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities accurately using specialized equipment and techniques. Support construction activities by performing labor tasks including site preparation, material handling, and debris removal. Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Collaborate with team members to complete excavation projects efficiently while adhering to project specifications and timelines. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, or similar equipment. Knowledge of construction site operations including grading, , utility installation, and excavation techniques. Ability to perform routine maintenance on construction machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and operation. Construction site experience with an emphasis on utility locating, grading, and general labor tasks. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a focus on safety at all times.
