Houck Services, Inc., one of the area's leading Commercial and Industrial Specialty Contractors, is looking for experienced Epoxy Floor Installers to join the Commercial Industrial Department. EEO Employer/Protected Veteran/Disabled Job Description Prepares various floor substrates to receive multiple floor finish types. Applies various floor finishes to prepped surface.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Chips scrapes, and grinds high spots ridges, and rough projections using pneumatic chisels, hand chisels, and other hand tools. Cleans and preps area for application. Cleans construction site to eliminate possible hazards. Sprays materials such as water, steam, sand, sealants, solvents. Mixes ingredients to create compounds. Loads and unloads truck. Spreads, levels and finishes flooring material using a rake, hand or power screed, roller cover. Washes and treats surfaces using chemicals as specified. Smooth surfaces with sandpaper, scrapers, steel wool or other tools. Covers existing surfaces with drop cloths, paper or masking tape for protection of surfaces. Mixes cement, sand, lime and water to produce concrete, grout or slurry. Cuts concrete, drills holes in concrete. Builds molds to shape and form material. Mixes multiple part flooring material using hand or power mixers. Cleans and preps area for application. Tends pumps, compressors, generators, kettles. Receives instructions from supervisor. Abides by all OSHA and Houck safety guidelines. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
