Job Title:
Skilled Laborer Job Description This role supports a precast and infrastructure facility that builds aluminum forms used by construction companies to pour concrete. You will work with hand and power tools, shape rebar, and assemble and move concrete forms in a fast-paced, production-focused environment that closely resembles a construction site. Responsibilities Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support daily production activities. Shape and cut rebar to specified dimensions for use in concrete forms. Build aluminum boxes and other forms used for pouring concrete, following measurements and instructions. Move and position forms and other heavy materials, lifting up to 50 pounds as needed. Perform regular site and shop clean-up to maintain a safe and organized work area. Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment at all times. Assist with general labor tasks in the manufacturing area, including concrete-related work as needed. Complete other duties and tasks as assigned to support production and project timelines. Essential Skills Experience in general labor, construction, production, or a similar hands-on role. Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or construction environment. Familiarity with concrete work, including basic understanding of forms and reinforcement. Capability to shape and handle rebar according to instructions. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. Comfort working in an environment that resembles a construction site, both indoors and outdoors. Reliability to work a consistent day shift schedule with regular overtime. Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety policies and procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working for a construction, concrete, and/or precast company is preferred. Experience in a manufacturing facility or production environment is beneficial. Comfort working with aluminum forms and other metal components. Ability to read and follow basic measurements and instructions. Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and support different areas of the facility as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in an indoor/outdoor manufacturing facility that closely resembles a construction site. You will work around concrete, forms, and heavy materials, using hand and power tools in a production setting. The position follows a day shift schedule starting at either 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m., with 8-10 hour shifts Monday through Friday and fairly regular half days on Saturdays. The employer provides a hard hat, safety glasses, and a high-visibility vest, while workers supply their own steel-toe footwear; met guards are provided. The environment is active and physically demanding, with a strong emphasis on safety and proper use of personal protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buda, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
