Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team in Columbus, Texas. This is an outdoor, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, staying organized, and operating equipment in a fast-paced construction environment. Position Overview As a Yard Worker, you will maintain our equipment yard and material storage areas, support daily operations, and ensure everything is safe, organized, and ready for the field teams. This is an active outdoor position with opportunities to learn and grow within a local construction and heavy equipment operation. Key Responsibilities Perform general yard labor including loading/unloading materials, organizing inventory, and keeping the yard clean and orderly Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and other yard machinery (training provided for qualified candidates) Occasionally assist with equipment maintenance Inventory tracking Move construction materials, tools, and heavy items safely and efficiently Follow all safety protocols and help maintain a safe work environment Requirements Previous yard, warehouse, or construction labor experience preferred Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification a plus, but not required - we can train) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive tasks Reliable transportation to Columbus, TX location Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-player mindset Valid driver's license (CDL a plus) What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Full-time steady work with opportunities for overtime Room for advancement in a growing local company Hands-on training and equipment operation experience How to
