Responsibilities:

• Must be able to work in Hopkins County, TX and surrounding counties.
• Follow directions and complete job task as assigned by foreman.
• Direct traffic at construction sites or other locations as instructed
• Set up traffic control signs and cones to guide vehicles and pedestrians safely
• Communicate with coworkers and drivers using hand signals, two-way radios, or other communication devices
• Monitor traffic flow and adjust traffic control measures as needed
• Ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and drivers by enforcing traffic regulations and guidelines
• Report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate authorities
• Follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Traffic Controller is preferred but not required
• Ability to understand and follow instructions accurately
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers and drivers
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Reliable transportation is required

Pay:

$18.60 per hour
