Permanent Employment Help for . South Texas Fence & Deck is seeking reliable, hardworking laborers to assist with the installation of fences, decks, pergolas, arbors, concrete flatwork, and other outdoor structures. This is a physically demanding outdoor position that requires working in all weather conditions. Laborers will dig, carry materials, assemble structures, and help ensure every project is completed safely and to a high standard.
Pay:
$20 - $25/hour
Hours:
Full-time (40 hours per week)
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday (Fridays only as a makeup day if Monday is a holiday). No weekends. Installation Support Prepare job sites by clearing debris, marking boundaries, and setting up tools and materials.
Dig post holes and footings using hand tools or powered equipment.
Transport materials, tools, and equipment to the work area.
Assist with assembling and installing fences, decks, pergolas, gates, and other structures according to project plans. Material Handling Load and unload trucks with materials, tools, and equipment.
Keep work areas and storage areas organized and stocked.
Assist with inventory checks and restocking as needed. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety protocols and job site regulations.
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots).
Report any safety hazards, incidents, or equipment issues to the Crew Leader or Foreman immediately. Quality Assurance Inspect materials, tools, and equipment for damage before use.
Follow proper installation techniques to ensure quality and durability.
Assist in verifying measurements, alignment, and structural integrity during installation. Required Qualifications Experience in construction, carpentry, landscaping, or similar work.
Familiarity with tools and equipment used in fence and deck installation.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, bending, and working at heights.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Must be able to pass a drug screen (urinalysis and hair follicle testing). Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
Experience with residential remodeling. Additional Information This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions. Proper training and safety guidelines will be provided.
