Construction / Audio Visual Installation Technician Job Description Join our team as a Construction / Audio Visual Installation Technician in Blacksburg, VA, supporting a large-scale stadium audio upgrade project. This role is perfect for individuals with general construction, AV, or hands-on labor experience who are eager to grow their skills in a high-profile project environment. Responsibilities Unbox, label, and organize over 400 ceiling speakers. Stage materials and equipment throughout the stadium. Assist with scaffold setup and teardown. Support removal and installation of ceiling speakers with plug-and-play replacements. Perform general construction and labor tasks as needed. Operate pallet jacks for material movement. Drive a forklift if certified (preferred, not required). Follow all safety protocols and site procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Essential Skills Entry level to mid level experience in construction, general labor, or AV installation. Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors. Comfortable performing physical labor and working at heights. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Safety gear such as steel toe work boots, a high visibility shirt or safety vest, and a hard hat are required on site. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Blacksburg, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
