Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and skilled Automated Pergola Installer to join our installation team. This position will begin as a 3-month contract , with the potential to be extended or transition into full-time employment based on performance, workload, and company needs. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors, and takes pride in producing high-quality finished work. Experience in construction, carpentry, decking, exterior remodeling, or similar trades is preferred. Experience specifically with automated pergolas is helpful but not required for candidates with a strong construction background and willingness to learn. Job Responsibilities Install automated aluminum pergola systems according to manufacturer specifications and project plans. Install motorized/retractable screens and related outdoor living products. Build and install wood and composite decks. Measure, lay out, assemble, level, and secure structures accurately. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other construction equipment. Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing materials and equipment. Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites. Protect customers' homes, landscaping, and surrounding property while completing installations. Troubleshoot installation issues and work with the team to develop appropriate solutions. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, project managers, and other trades on the job site. Follow company procedures, manufacturer installation requirements, and all applicable safety practices. Complete final job-site cleanup and assist with ensuring projects meet company quality standards. Perform additional construction, installation, service, repair, and general job-site duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous construction, carpentry, decking, remodeling, or installation experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new installation systems. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and basic construction tools. Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying construction materials. Comfortable working from ladders and at heights when required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions, plans, and manufacturer installation guidelines. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
