Job Description:
Insight Global is hiring a Construction Laborer to support a large-scale roadway and civil construction project at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. This role will assist heavy equipment operators and field crews with earthwork, excavation, grading, drainage, utility installation, and roadway construction activities. Experience with dirt work, trenching, grading, or heavy civil construction is highly preferred. This is a fully on-site opportunity requiring 5, 8-10 hour shifts daily. Day to day responsibilities Perform general labor duties in support of excavation, grading, roadway, and site development operations Assist crews with dirt work, trenching, backfilling, and compaction activities Install and maintain erosion control measures, silt fence, and site protection systems Assist with storm drainage, utility, and culvert installation Use hand tools and power tools to support construction activities Perform site cleanup, material handling, and project preparation tasks Help maintain haul roads, work zones, and staging areas Follow grade stakes, survey markings, and instructions from supervisors and equipment operators Work safely around excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, rollers, and haul trucks Support traffic control and site safety efforts as required Follow all OSHA, USACE, and company safety requirements Must haves: 2+ years of construction, excavation, earthwork, utility, or civil labor experience preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, digging, and shoveling. Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a construction crew. Ability to pass a drug screen and background check Plusses Experience working on federal construction projects OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Certified Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
