General Laborer - Ecological Landscaping

Dorn Property Care is looking for capable laborers to help with landscaping projects in the Lodi area! We are an ecologically-oriented landscaper that aims to help landowners love their space again and develop relationships with our local flora and fauna from the comfort of home. The work day includes a paid lunch break, and Dorn Property Care can provide all tools. Proficiency with native and/or common landscaping plants, and with common garden and landscaping tools, is preferred, but on-the-job training is available if necessary. This is a physically intensive position that requires stretching, bending, tool use, carrying, and lifting up to 70 pounds. Applicants should have access to reliable transportation, and ideally live within 30 minutes of Lodi.

Duties include:

Excavation of, and trenching in, gravel, dirt, and soil. Installation of mulch, soil, seeds, and seedlings. Manual edging of beds and paths. Clearing vegetation, snow, and debris from clients' yards for removal. Installation of hardscaping features such as stone and paver patios and French drains. Lawn maintenance, including edging, mowing, and fertilizing, including in atypical settings such as forests. Shrub and herbaceous plant trimming and maintenance. Some exterior structural work including gutter sealing and maintenance. Maintenance and replacement of porches and other exterior features. Coordination with other crew members to ensure safe and efficient completion of projects. Other tasks as required for completion of projects.

Pay:

$25.00 per hour
