Melton Cranberry Company Inc. Seasonal Cranberry Harvest Worker / Laborer Wisconsin Rapids, WI October 5-16, 2026
• Monday-Friday | Approximately 7:30 AM-5:00 PM $20.00/hour | Temporary Seasonal Position | 18+ No experience necessary. We are willing to train! Melton Cranberry Company Inc. is looking for dependable seasonal workers to join our crew for the 2026 cranberry harvest. You do not need cranberry harvest or farm experience to apply. If you have a good work ethic, are dependable, willing to work outdoors, and don't mind getting a little wet or muddy, we can teach you what you need to know and find a place for you on our harvest team. Previous farm or equipment experience is a plus, but absolutely not required . What You May Be Doing Every day during harvest can look a little different. Depending on the day's operations and your experience, you may: Help rake, corral, and move cranberries during harvest Walk and work in cranberry beds and shallow water Help position or move harvest equipment, hoses, pipes, or other materials Use backpack blowers and other basic equipment Assist with loading and general harvest operations Work alongside tractors and other farm equipment Operate a tractor or other equipment if you have the appropriate experience Help with cleanup and other tasks needed to keep harvest moving Don't have farm or equipment experience? That's okay. There are plenty of hands-on jobs throughout harvest, and we're happy to train someone who is willing to learn and work. Schedule Harvest is scheduled for October 5 through October 16, 2026 . The final end date may vary slightly depending on harvest progress, loading, weather, and daily operations. Our typical workday is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until approximately 5:00 PM . Daily end times can vary depending on harvest operations and loading at the end of the day. Because cranberry harvest is a short, fast-moving season, dependability and attendance are a must. We're looking for people who can show up on time, work as part of the crew, and help wherever needed. Physical & Outdoor Work Cranberry harvest is an active, outdoor job.
Workers should be comfortable:
Walking and standing for extended periods Frequently bending, reaching, raking, lifting, and carrying Lifting up to approximately 40-50 lbs as needed Working in waders or hip boots Working in and around water Working outdoors in changing fall weather We harvest rain or shine , so be prepared for rain, wind, cooler temperatures, mud, and water. Work will be paused when conditions are unsafe, such as during lightning or severe weather. What We're Looking For Must be 18 years of age or older Dependable with a good work ethic Willing to work outdoors and get wet or muddy Able to work well as part of a team Willing to learn and help wherever needed Physically able to perform the general duties of the position Must have reliable transportation to and from work Valid driver's license preferred, but not required Previous farm, agricultural, equipment, landscaping, construction, or other outdoor work experience is helpful, but not necessary . A good attitude and strong work ethic are more important to us than previous harvest experience. Pay:
$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week Application Question(s): Are you 18 years of age or older? This position includes working outdoors and in/around water, wearing waders or hip boots, extended periods of walking and standing, frequent bending and reaching, and lifting up to approximately 40-50 lbs as needed.
