Job Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Equipment Operator/Laborer, where you will play a vital role in executing a variety of heavy equipment operations and utility work essential to construction projects. This position offers an energetic environment where safety, precision, and teamwork drive success. You will operate a range of construction machinery, assist with excavation and grading tasks, and ensure all equipment functions smoothly and safely. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality results on time while maintaining a safe work environment for everyone involved. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, and Caterpillar equipment to perform excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation tasks. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety procedures. Assist with construction utility work such as utility locating, horizontal drilling, and installation of underground utilities following federal construction safety regulations. Support site preparation activities including site clearing, grading, and soil compaction to facilitate construction progress. Follow all safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a secure job site environment. Collaborate with team members to execute construction projects efficiently while adhering to project specifications and timelines. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and compliance. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, or similar machinery in a construction setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment. Familiarity with construction utility work including utility locating and horizontal drilling techniques. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform excavation tasks accurately and efficiently while maintaining a focus on safety standards. Construction site experience with a solid understanding of grading, paving, and general construction processes. Join us in building the future with energy and precision! Pay:
$20.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
