Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction management expertise, and a thorough understanding of safety regulations and technical drawings. As a key player on our team, you will coordinate multiple trades, manage subcontractors, and maintain clear communication with clients, architects, and project teams to drive project success. Duties Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety standards. Manage and supervise construction crews and subcontractors on-site, providing clear direction and oversight to ensure quality workmanship. Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to facilitate accurate construction activities. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or Procore; monitor progress regularly. Oversee procurement processes including managing contracts, change orders, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. Enforce OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe work environment. Coordinate with project managers on budgeting, cost control, quality assurance, and risk management strategies. Utilize construction management tools like Prolog or HeavyBid for project documentation, tracking progress, and reporting project status to stakeholders. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to construction drawings, quality control standards, and safety protocols. Manage communication channels effectively among clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project flow. Experience Proven experience in heavy commercial construction management with a strong track record of successfully completing large-scale projects. Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera; proficiency in Procore or similar platforms preferred. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong supervisory skills with experience managing diverse teams on active construction sites. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) as well as local building codes and industry standards. Experience in budgeting, cost control, contract negotiations, and managing project documentation through tools like Prolog or HeavyBid. Hands-on experience supervising safety programs; ability to enforce OSHA compliance effectively. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams confidently while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
