Exclusive opportunity with a top-rated, local GC in Alabama Oversee large projects, typically upwards of $30M per contract About Our Client Michael Page has been retained by a market leader in Birmingham who are in search of a skilled Superintendent interested in working locally across the Central Alabama area. This company, a General Contractor and Construction Manager, has over 20 years of local experience and is widely considered to be among the top handful with regards to benefits and internal culture across the field. They utilize both Subcontractors and In-house labor on a wide range of Commercial projects including schools, stadiums, airport additions, multifamily and mixed-use complexes, and other opportunities locally. Their work is strictly within a 90-mile radius of Birmingham. Job Description Manage all aspects of site construction from project start to punch list completion Coordinate with Project Managers for change orders, schedules, etc. Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and/or Interns as assigned Document and ensure quality control and safety standards to provide a safe work environment for all parties. Read and interpret drawings and specifications. Document all job site activity via daily reports including photographs. Maintain a working relationship with all local inspectors and code enforcement officials. Obtain all necessary inspections in order to receive all final permit sign offs/certificates of occupancy. The Successful Applicant 7+ years of Commercial Construction experience as a Lead / Senior Project Superintendent Experience in large ($30M+) commercial projects is required Knowledge of scheduling and cost principles Basic knowledge of project management software A mature professional with excellent judgment. A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual. Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and intuitive interpersonal skills.
