You will assist senior managers with day-to-day activities, project planning, scheduling, and documentation while developing your skills in construction technology and site operations. Duties Serve as a bridge between the front office and the shop floor, coordinating project deliverables, vendor orders, and client updates to ensure smooth internal workflows. Prepare, edit, and format critical documents including client quotes, fabrication reports, and meeting minutes. Support basic bookkeeping, track project-related expenses, and manage the procurement of office and shop supplies. Monitor key initiatives and milestones for ongoing fabrication jobs, ensuring the owner is briefed on progress and potential bottlenecks. Support the preparation and review of construction estimates, contracts, and schematics to ensure accuracy and compliance Help manage project documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and site reports, ensuring all records are current and organized Provide administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence for senior staff Participate in site visits to gain hands-on experience with construction site operations and safety protocols Assist with project coordination efforts by communicating between subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services Basic Qualifications Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with both shop floor staff and corporate clients. Ability to quickly learn new software tools for project documentation and scheduling Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping and job-costing software. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with project management software. A "find a way" attitude with the ability to anticipate needs before they become barriers to performance. Proven ability to handle sensitive business data and confidential projects with the highest level of integrity. Preferred Skills Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings Experience or familiarity with construction estimating and project scheduling techniques Knowledge of contracts, construction site safety procedures, and site operations Basic understanding of principles related to fabrication projects or general construction practices This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in construction management while supporting real-world projects.
