Job Description

Operations Manager for Eco Friendly Waterscapes The Pond Digger is one of the most recognized water feature construction companies in the country. We design and build high-end koi ponds, waterfalls, lakes, and aquatic ecosystems. Our projects combine landscape construction, plumbing (PVC irrigation), rock placement, excavation, and ecosystem design-no cookie-cutter work. Every project is unique. We are a family-run company with a strong team culture, and we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager / Superintendent to lead our construction operations and keep our crews set up for success. Pay & Opportunity $23-$30 per hour (based on experience) Overtime opportunities during busy seasons Key leadership role with direct impact on operations Opportunity to build systems and improve efficiency across the company Position Overview Oversee daily construction operations across multiple projects Coordinate crews, materials, schedules, and timelines Ensure jobs are fully prepared before crews arrive Keep projects running efficiently, on time, and on budget Maintain strong communication between field crews and office team Identify issues early and prevent delays Key Responsibilities Coordinate crew scheduling and job timelines Ensure materials and equipment are ready prior to job start Track job progress and adjust schedules as needed Review pull sheets and materials for accuracy Communicate with crew leaders and ensure accountability Monitor job completion timelines and crew productivity Organize job folders and documentation with office staff Maintain workflow between retail, warehouse, and construction teams Identify problems before they impact production Support leadership in improving systems and efficiency Schedule Full-time position Schedule aligns with field crews (early start times) Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in construction, landscape construction, or similar field Experience managing crews or supervising job sites Strong organizational and scheduling skills Ability to read job scopes and coordinate materials Strong communication skills with crews, office staff, and leadership Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills Valid driver's license Preferred Experience Landscape construction Hardscape installation Pond or water feature construction Plumbing or irrigation systems Equipment operation Construction scheduling or project management software Who You Are Highly organized and detail-oriented Proactive and able to anticipate job needs Comfortable leading teams and holding people accountable Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Take pride in running efficient, well-executed projects Why This Role is Different Work on custom, high-end outdoor projects-not repetitive construction Be part of a respected company in a specialized niche Play a key role in shaping operations and improving systems Join a tight-knit, team-oriented company that values doing things right How to Apply if you are ready to lead operations, support crews, and help deliver projects that stand out.
