We are seeking an experienced and dependable Adult Day Program Director to oversee the daily operations of our program serving adults with developmental disabilities. Previous experience working with a California Regional Center—preferably the San Diego Regional Center—is required. Applicants without Regional Center experience will not be considered. Responsibilities Manage and supervise the program's daily operations. Ensure compliance with San Diego Regional Center, California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing, Title 17, Title 22, HCBS, and applicable DDS requirements. Implement and maintain the program design, policies, procedures, and staffing plan. Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate direct-support staff. Coordinate participant admissions, assessments, Individual Service Plans, progress reports, and annual meetings. Communicate professionally with Regional Center service coordinators, participants, families, conservators, and licensing representatives. Ensure services are consistent with each participant's Individual Program Plan (IPP). Maintain accurate participant, personnel, attendance, billing, training, and incident-reporting records. Prepare and submit Special Incident Reports within required timelines. Monitor staff-to-participant ratios and ensure appropriate supervision and participant safety. Coordinate meaningful community-based activities and person-centered services. Manage employee performance and address attendance, conduct, and compliance concerns. Assist with Regional Center vendor audits and Community Care Licensing inspections. Maintain confidentiality and protect participants' rights. Required Qualifications Previous experience working with a California Regional Center is mandatory. Experience with San Diego Regional Center is strongly preferred. Previous management or supervisory experience in an Adult Day Program, behavioral program, community-based day program, or developmental-services setting. Strong knowledge of Regional Center documentation, vendor requirements, IPPs, Special Incident Reports, Title 17, Title 22, and HCBS requirements. Must meet the applicable CDSS qualifications for managing an Adult Day Program. Must be at least 21 years old. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage employees and maintain complete, accurate documentation. Must pass a criminal-background check and obtain all required clearances. Current First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain it before beginning employment. Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services, healthcare administration, or a related field. Experience preparing for Regional Center audits and Community Care Licensing inspections. Experience developing Individual Service Plans and measurable participant goals. Bilingual ability is a plus.
