The ideal candidate has field experience with ADU construction, ground-up projects, and fire-damage restoration and reconstruction. Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations and coordinate subcontractors, crews, deliveries, and inspections. Manage project schedules and help keep work on track. Visit properties to inspect conditions, take measurements, and help define the scope of work. Assist with preparing estimates, material takeoffs, and change orders for ADU, ground-up, and fire-restoration projects. Review plans, scopes, and specifications to ensure work is completed correctly. Monitor workmanship, jobsite safety, cleanliness, and quality control. Coordinate with project managers, homeowners, inspectors, and design professionals. Document progress, site conditions, and concealed damage with photos and written notes to support estimates and supplements. Identify field issues early and communicate solutions to the project team. Support construction from demolition and framing through finishes and project closeout. Qualifications Experience as a construction superintendent, site supervisor, estimator, or lead in residential construction. Familiarity with ADUs, ground-up construction, and fire-damage restoration or reconstruction. Ability to read construction plans and prepare accurate measurements and material takeoffs. Strong organization, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills. Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software is preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites throughout San Diego County. Construction-related certifications or training are a plus.
