About Wayco Construction Wayco Construction, Inc. is a growing design-build general contractor serving San Diego County and the United States. We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to take ownership of the day-to-day field operations of our construction projects. This is a leadership position. The Superintendent is expected to manage the jobsite, subcontractors, schedule, safety, quality, documentation, and coordination necessary to successfully complete projects on time and in accordance with the contract documents. Key Responsibilities The Project Superintendent will be responsible for: Manage daily field operations from mobilization through project closeout Direct and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and field activities Maintain and enforce the project construction schedule Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules Conduct daily subcontractor coordination Identify schedule conflicts and take action before they impact the project Review plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other contract documents Coordinate field conditions with the Project Manager and design team Verify work is being installed according to approved plans and specifications Maintain high standards for workmanship and quality control Perform regular field inspections and develop punch lists Coordinate required inspections with applicable agencies Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe jobsite Conduct toolbox talks and site safety meetings as required Enforce OSHA, company, and project-specific safety requirements Understand and implement

requirements when assigned to applicable federal projects Complete accurate daily reports in Procore Upload progress photographs and properly document field conditions Track manpower, subcontractor activities, deliveries, inspections, delays, and significant project events Document potential change conditions immediately Assist with RFIs and field coordination issues Coordinate material deliveries and verify materials are available when required Review subcontractor scopes and help identify scope gaps Participate in owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal project meetings Assist the Project Manager with subcontractor coordination and change management Maintain project as-built drawings throughout construction Coordinate startup, testing, commissioning, punch list, and closeout activities Assist with obtaining warranties, O&M information, as-builts, and other closeout documentation Represent Wayco professionally with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, design professionals, and government representatives Technology & Documentation Wayco expects its Superintendents to be comfortable using technology as part of managing a modern construction project. The Superintendent will be expected to use: Procore Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft 365 Bluebeam or similar PDF/plan review software Smartphones and tablets for field documentation Digital plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, schedules, photographs, and daily reports Training can be provided on Wayco-specific processes, but the successful candidate must be willing and able to learn and consistently use the company's technology and procedures.
Qualifications Required:
5+ years of construction field experience Previous experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or similar field leadership position Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades Strong understanding of construction scheduling Knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions Ability to maintain accurate project documentation Valid driver's license Ability to travel to projects throughout San Diego County and other project locations with the United States as required

Compensation will be based on construction experience, project size and complexity, federal construction experience, certifications, and demonstrated ability to independently manage projects. Schedule Full-Time Typical construction schedule is Monday through Friday, with early mornings, occasional weekends, overtime, or off-hours work as project conditions require.
