Building Resources Company Glendora, CA Job Details Full-time $128,000 - $150,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Blueprint specification interpretation OSHA 30 Full Job Description Position Summary The Superintendent, Construction Capital is responsible for overseeing daily on-site construction operations for capital projects from mobilization through closeout. This role manages field execution, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality, and schedule performance for ground-up construction and major capital improvement projects. The Superintendent works closely with Project Managers and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in alignment with quality standards. This role is a key driver of field productivity and plays a critical role in coordinating trades, maintaining site organization, and supporting successful project outcomes. This position is a core field leadership role with a growth path toward Senior Superintendent, Construction Capital. Responsibilities Field Execution & Coordination Oversee daily construction activities on-site from mobilization through project completion. Coordinate sequencing of work across trades and subcontractors. Ensure field execution aligns with project plans, schedule, and scope. Monitor daily productivity and maintain efficient workflow. Identify and resolve field issues to maintain project progress. Subcontractor Management Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trade partners on-site. Ensure subcontractors understand project scope, schedule, and expectations. Monitor subcontractor performance and quality of work. Address coordination conflicts and field issues in real time. Schedule Management Execute project schedules in coordination with Project Managers and Senior Superintendents. Track daily and weekly progress against schedule milestones. Identify potential delays and communicate impacts to project leadership. Support implementation of recovery plans as needed. Safety Management Enforce all safety policies and procedures on-site. Conduct daily safety meetings and site walks. Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Promote a strong safety culture across all field operations. Quality Control Ensure all work meets project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Conduct inspections and coordinate quality control activities. Manage punch lists and ensure timely resolution of deficiencies. Coordinate with Quality Control teams as required. Field Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate field documentation in Procore or company systems, including: Daily logs Site photos Safety reports Progress updates Ensure timely and accurate reporting of field activities. Support documentation for inspections, testing, and compliance. Logistics & Site Management Manage site logistics including layout, access, deliveries, and material staging. Coordinate equipment, manpower, and site resources. Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites. Ensure proper site setup and compliance with project requirements. Field Team Coordination Work closely with Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews. Provide direction and support to field staff to maintain productivity. Communicate effectively with Project Managers and project teams. Support alignment between field operations and project objectives. Client & Stakeholder Interaction Participate in site walks, inspections, and meetings as needed. Represent the company professionally on-site. Support communication with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders. Criteria/Qualifications 4+ years of experience in construction field operations — corresponds to Low salary range 7+ years of experience in construction field operations — corresponds to Mid salary range 10+ years of experience in construction field operations — corresponds to High salary range Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints. Deep understanding of construction sequences and building processes. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Education Associate's or Bachelor's in Construction Management or equivalent combination of field experience and trade certifications.
