In this pivotal role, you will coordinate all on-site activities, manage teams, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Your expertise in construction management, technical drawing interpretation, and team supervision will drive project success and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects across commercial construction sites, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring work progresses according to project schedules and specifications. Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain productivity and quality standards. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to guide on-site activities effectively. Coordinate project scheduling using construction management software such as MS Project; monitor progress against timelines. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards to maintain a safe work environment. Review and interpret contracts, change orders, and technical documents to facilitate smooth project execution. Conduct quality control inspections, supervise safety protocols, and enforce construction safety management practices. Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement processes. Lead regular site meetings to communicate progress, address issues promptly, and manage team performance effectively. Review construction drawings for accuracy; coordinate construction schedule updates; supervise the review of technical documents. Skills Extensive experience with construction site management in commercial or heavy civil projects. Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of construction regulations such as OSHA standards and federal safety requirements. Proven ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately. Excellent project scheduling skills with experience managing complex timelines using Primavera or similar programs. Effective crew management skills with a track record of supervising teams in fast-paced environments. Skilled in managing contracts, change orders, budgeting, and procurement processes. Demonstrated leadership in managing safety programs and enforcing quality control measures on-site. Ability to communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams at all levels of management. In-depth knowledge of the construction industry including plans, specifications and procedures, as well as experience on Caltrans projects. Minimum 15 years experience.
