Job Description
A growing statewide general contractor specializing in self-performing multifamily reconstruction projects is seeking an experienced division manager for our Southern California market. This position is a key executive leadership role responsible, along with the CEO and COO, for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations in the territory. The manager will also partner with the senior management team on internal project management, estimating, construction efficiency and safety. Strong leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and operational expertise are critical to driving business performance and growth. Key responsibilities .
- Drive company culture focused on teamwork, communication, safety, and operational excellence. Foster a positive and accountable company culture.
- Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, materials, and budget, while focusing on cost reduction and efficiency.
- Strengthen territory leadership, including field employees, and develop high-performing teams; recruit, coach, and succession-plan for growth.
- Support client acquisition with sales team, lead major bidding processes, review and negotiate high-value contracts, and build relationships with developers, agencies, and architects.
- Procure Bids from Subcontractors & material suppliers.
- Run day-to-day operations, including hands-on management of projects, client meetings, bid walks and estimate review. Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Extensive experience (often 5+ years) in the construction industry, with a proven track record in senior leadership and managing large-scale projects with a responsibility for managing up to $10 Million P&L
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in estimating, safety standards, and project management best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
