POSITION SUMMARY
Join our growing team at Pacific Outdoor Living, based in San Luis Obispo, CA, as an experienced Project Manager. The Project Manager is expected to have a wide field of experience and will manage and build large-scale residential landscape projects, some of which will include site development projects from inception through completion. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
:
  • Conduct accurate material take-offs and cost estimates for landscape projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Review and approve construction plans, ensuring they are complete, feasible, and compliant with codes.
  • Coordinate with team to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Lead project approval submissions, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Manage construction teams, labor, and subcontractors to ensure projects are on budget, on schedule, and of high quality.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and resolving any issues.
  • Oversee labor, equipment dispatch, and resource utilization to maintain project flow and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report on daily and weekly project progress, ensuring all work aligns with specifications.
  • Manage labor force & subcontractors to ensure labor budgets are on track
  • Maintain accurate daily and weekly Foremen and Superintendent activity logs, updating production tracking reports
CAPABILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES
  • In-depth knowledge of construction techniques and materials, especially in masonry, pools, hardscape, soft-scape, and woodwork.
  • Able to instruct and oversee the production of sections, construction details that clearly communicate how the project is to be built.
  • Familiarity with local and national building codes and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and project management skills. Strong project scheduling and coordination skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience in construction management and project management. Excellence in customer service.
  • knowledgeable in landscape, masonry, pavers, and demo is a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish is a must
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 5-10 years of experience in construction.
  • Experience in value engineering construction projects.
REQUIREMENTS
Standing and walking as needed to meet with clients at various locations Able to hear and speak on the phone as required to meet job expectations Able to drive to various job sites
