This position plays a key role in driving daily construction activities while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader with experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, and project teams on complex civil construction projects. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations on heavy civil and public works projects Coordinate subcontractors, self-perform crews, vendors, and equipment Develop and manage short-term schedules and look-ahead plans Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents Coordinate inspections, testing, utilities, and public agency requirements Maintain project quality standards and resolve field issues proactively Partner with Project Managers on scheduling, budgeting, and change management Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and daily field planning Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and project documentation Drive project completion while maintaining safety, quality, and client satisfaction Requirements 5+ years of Superintendent experience in heavy civil construction Experience managing public works or infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of grading, underground utilities, concrete, site work, or roadway construction Ability to read plans, specifications, and project schedules Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and field crews Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Compensation & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid holidays and PTO 401(k)
