We are seeking Project Managers who has extensive experience in the public works sector and managing single dollar contracts ranging from $1 million to $10 million or greater. The qualified Project Manager must have a strong knowledge of heavy civil construction, estimating, scheduling, project execution and project closeout procedures.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

Manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects (planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout). Create estimates and price proposals Oversee project budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, and contract compliance. Coordinate with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. Develop and maintain project schedules using CPM or equivalent software (e.g., P6, MS Project). Lead project meetings, prepare progress reports, and manage RFI/submittal processes Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays to maintain project milestones. Ensure compliance with company safety policies, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements. Create and maintain (update) budget at the beginning and during construction. Put optimum effort to obtain profit margin while meeting schedules and ensuring quality control Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project partners. Negotiate contracts with owners and vendors to reach profitable agreements Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish while staying in planned budget Monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes and labor compliance Evaluate progress and prepare detailed project manager report (job cost report) Ensure projects are completed on time and according to schedule

Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction (e.g., roadways, bridges, utilities, grading, earthwork, demolition and infrastructure). Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven ability to manage multiple projects ranging from $1M to $10M+ Proficiency with project management and estimating software Good knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles Commitment to safety and quality excellence.
