Job Description

About the Position We are looking for a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Construction Manager / Field Supervisor to join our growing excavation and sitework team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in construction management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working outdoors, coordinating people and equipment, and seeing projects progress from start to finish. Construction experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong leadership, communication, organization, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities Assist with the day-to-day supervision of excavation and sitework projects Coordinate field crews, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and deliveries Help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget Communicate with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and field personnel Conduct daily jobsite walks and monitor project progress Maintain accurate daily reports, time records, and job documentation Help identify and resolve jobsite issues and delays Monitor equipment needs and coordinate equipment movement between jobsites Promote and enforce safe work practices and company safety procedures Assist with project scheduling and planning Read and understand plans, drawings, and project specifications Monitor workmanship and ensure projects meet company and customer expectations Learn company estimating, scheduling, production, and project-management processes Perform other duties necessary to keep projects running efficiently What We're Looking For Construction, excavation, heavy equipment, or related experience preferred Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to lead and communicate effectively with field crews Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to solve problems and make decisions in the field Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions Basic computer skills Ability to read construction plans is a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, if required Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities What We Offer Competitive salary: $50,000 + DOE Performance-based raises and bonus opportunities Paid time off Paid training and on-the-job development Stable, year-round employment We are a hands-on excavation company where hard work, accountability, and teamwork matter.
