Job Description Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of estimators. Establish best practices, processes, and standards for estimating and preconstruction activities. Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support integration and alignment of estimating functions across acquired businesses as needed. Estimating & Preconstruction Oversee preparation, review, and approval of project estimates and competitive bids. Analyze project specifications, drawings, scope requirements, and risk factors. Develop pricing strategies that balance profitability, competitiveness, and client needs. Review and evaluate bids ranging from $100K to $1M+. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality throughout the estimating process. Business Development & Client Relations Partner with company leadership on growth initiatives and business development strategy. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, municipalities, agencies, and key stakeholders. Participate in proposal presentations, client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities. Identify new markets, opportunities, and strategic partnerships. The Successful Applicant Qualifications Required Significant experience in estimating, preconstruction, or operations leadership within construction, infrastructure, paving, roadway, highway, pavement marking, civil, or related industries. Proven experience managing estimating teams and complex bid processes. Strong business development and client-facing capabilities. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to influence strategy and drive organizational growth. Strong financial and commercial acumen. Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Preferred Experience within roadway construction, pavement marking, paving, transportation infrastructure, traffic safety, or related sectors. Experience working with public-sector, DOT, municipal, federal, or large commercial projects. Experience supporting multi-site operations, M&A integration, or high-growth organizations.
