Job Description

Ellington Public Schools is seeking reliable and responsible individuals to serve as Athletics Site Supervisors for home athletic events at Ellington High School.

The Site Supervisor will assist with the overall management and supervision of athletic contests to help ensure a safe, organized, and positive experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, spectators, and visiting teams.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site supervision at assigned home athletic events.

Assist with opening, monitoring, and securing athletic facilities.

Support game-day operations and ensure events run smoothly.

Welcome and assist officials, visiting teams, and spectators.

Monitor student and spectator behavior and help maintain a safe environment.

Address facility or game-management concerns as they arise.

Communicate with coaches, officials, security personnel, and the Athletic Director when necessary.

Assist with emergency procedures and crowd management.

Complete any additional game-management responsibilities assigned by the Athletic Director.

Qualifications

Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle situations calmly and professionally.

Knowledge of high school athletics preferred.

Availability during evenings and occasional weekends.

Previous experience in athletics, education, coaching, or event supervision is preferred but not required.

Schedule

This is a part-time, event-based position. Hours will vary depending on the Ellington High School athletic schedule and may include afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Compensation

Compensation will be provided on a per-event basis.
