We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) who wants real responsibility, field exposure, and a clear path to becoming a Project Manager. What You'll Do Project Execution & Coordination Support the successful delivery of electrical construction projects from kickoff through closeout Work closely with Project Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to keep projects moving forward Act as a key link between the field and office—resolving issues quickly and keeping communication tight Track job progress, productivity, and performance against budget and schedule Project Controls & Cost Awareness Maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documentation Track procurement, material deliveries, and equipment usage Support cost tracking, billing, and financial reporting Help ensure accurate project data to keep jobs on track financially Change Management & Reporting Identify scope changes and support pricing, documentation, and client submission Assist with budget vs. actual reporting, commitments, and cost forecasting Prepare meeting notes, project updates, and internal/external communications Scheduling & Performance Tracking Help build and maintain project schedules (engineering, procurement, construction) Monitor progress and flag risks that could impact deadlines or productivity Quality & Safety Support a strong safety-first culture across all projects Ensure work aligns with quality standards, contract documents, and company expectations Client & Team Collaboration Build professional relationships with clients, vendors, and field teams Support a team-oriented environment focused on accountability, execution, and results Project Closeout Assist with turnover documentation, as-builts, and closeout packages Maintain accurate logs and final project records What We're Looking ForExperience 2-3 years of experience in construction project support or coordination Electrical construction experience strongly preferred Field experience (foreman or similar role) is a plus Education Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent hands-on field/project experience Skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communicator—clear, direct, and professional Solid understanding of construction workflows, scheduling, and cost tracking Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plus Problem-solver who anticipates issues and takes initiative Career Growth At McPhee- A Phalcon Company, this isn't a support-only role.
