Director of Field Operations Job Description:
The Foreman plans and coordinates all aspects of a small construction site. They manage and direct subcontractors and employees to ensure completion of projects as per job specifications. The Foreman is responsible for site safety, quality control, and adherence to project timelines and company standards. They collaborate closely with project managers and design professionals, providing updates on progress and addressing any challenges that arise.
Position Responsibilities:
Understand project plans and specifications, order materials, and schedule manpower. Conduct daily site inspections to ensure safety, progress, and quality control. Direct field personnel to achieve project completion on schedule and within budget. Prepare and discuss three-week lookahead schedules with field foremen. Coordinate kickoff meetings and ensure all team members understand project requirements. Collaborate with project managers to address constructability issues and scope gaps. Communicate openly with project managers to identify and mitigate project risks. Coordinate project job cost tracking with project managers. Research and address regulatory requirements to ensure project compliance. Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including customers, contractors, and suppliers. Manage weekly payroll tasks and maintain accurate records. Maintain as-built drawings and ensure an organized job site.
Position Skills:
CT P6 Trade License preferred CT Hoisting License preferred 3-5 years' experience in construction field Excellent communication skills Knowledge of construction safety practices and ability to enforce them Effective time management skills Client management skills Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
Meetings:
Participate in Superintendent Meetings. Attend Project Review and Closeout Meetings as required. Represent All State in meetings with third parties as needed.
Tools Required:
Various construction tools including safety gear, measuring tools, and markers.
