•$175,000 DOE Are you an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent who thrives on the road and takes pride in running tight, safe, and efficient job sites? Our client, a top-tier heavy civil, site, and land drilling firm operating across a territory stretching from Albany, NY to North Carolina, is seeking a seasoned Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to join their growing team. This is a high-compensation, high-responsibility role for a proven field leader who is ready to take ownership of projects, crews, and outcomes across a dynamic multi-state footprint.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead and supervise crews on active heavy civil, site, and land drilling projects — managing performance, safety, and daily operations across multiple project locations Drive projects to completion on time and within budget — coordinating resources closely with Project Managers and Engineers throughout each project lifecycle Implement and enforce all environmental, health, and safety regulations — including company policies, OSHA requirements, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations Coordinate with operations to align field activity with project priorities Maintain detailed daily records — project facts, crew timesheets, site conditions, significant events, and safety observations Recognize and proactively address potential problems before they escalate — your experience is the first line of defense Manage operations in accordance with applicable standards and regulations Foster a culture of respect, open communication, and collaboration among crew members — leading by example and encouraging new ideas and perspectives that drive team and company success

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum 7-10+ years of heavy civil construction supervision experience — civil, site, and/or land drilling background required Proven ability to supervise and lead crews safely and effectively in a traveling field environment Strong knowledge of construction plans, specifications, OSHA requirements, and safety protocols Knowledge of traffic control standards and procedures Ability to operate heavy equipment and understand the capabilities and limitations of all equipment types on site Strong organizational skills — you maintain accurate daily records and keep projects moving with precision Excellent communication and leadership skills — you build teams, resolve conflict, and keep everyone focused on the goal Must be based in or near the Torrington, CT area Must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout the Albany, NY to North Carolina service territory — travel is a core requirement of this role, not an occasional occurrence
