We are looking for someone who has actually run sitework crews in the field and understands how to plan and execute earthwork, underground utilities, grading, base, curb, paving, and complete site development projects. This is not a vertical construction superintendent position. We need someone who understands heavy civil/site development operations and can take ownership of field production. Responsibilities Plan and manage daily field operations on multiple site development projects Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, trucking, materials, and inspections Work directly with project management to develop and maintain project schedules Review plans, specifications, scopes, and project requirements before work begins Coordinate underground utilities, earthwork, grading, base, curb, paving, and related site activities Track daily production and identify problems before they impact schedule or budget Maintain quality control and ensure work is installed according to plans and specifications Coordinate with general contractors, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors Maintain safe and organized jobsites Help develop and mentor foremen and field crews Qualifications Minimum 5 years of site development/heavy civil experience Prior experience as a Superintendent Strong knowledge of: Earthwork and mass grading Underground storm, water, sewer, and fire line installation Fine grading and base preparation Curb, paving, and site concrete coordination Equipment and crew production Construction plans and specifications Ability to plan work several weeks ahead instead of managing one day at a time Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to hold crews accountable while maintaining a productive working environment Valid driver's license Preferred Experience Experience managing commercial, municipal, school, roadway, or large site development projects in Central Florida is strongly preferred. Knowledge of local municipalities, inspection requirements, and Central Florida soil/site conditions is a plus. What We Are Looking For We are not looking for someone who simply watches the job.
