Position:
Greet and register patients. Schedule return appointments and maintain patient chart. Collect co-pays. Prepare and work-up daily charts for the physicians. Enter/update patient demographic data. Track "no show" appointments. Obtain insurance information and send to the insurance verification specialists and document in the computer. Scan prescriptions, orders, and reports into the patient charts. Answer and triage telephone calls. Obtain reports for the physician for appointments. Add notes to appointment to help keep providers informed. Fill in for the medical assistant in clinic when needed.
Experience:
1 year working in a medical office setting required. Experience with medical terminology required. 1 year of medical assisting experience required.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
Special Qualifications:
Must be able to work independently, Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
