Full-Time, Exempt Position Summary The Traveling Interiors Superintendent oversees all field activities related to the installation of custom kitchen and bathroom cabinetry for new-construction multifamily and condominium projects throughout Florida. The Superintendent ensures that subcontracted installers deliver consistent, high-quality workmanship while adhering to project schedules, safety protocols, and contract requirements. This role serves as Spectrum's on-site representative in Florida—attending coordination meetings, managing punchlist execution, validating installer billings, troubleshooting field conditions, and ensuring the company's interests are protected at every job site. The Superintendent will travel frequently throughout Florida, with a primary base in South Florida. Key Responsibilities 1. Field Oversight & Installation Management Direct and supervise subcontracted installation teams across multiple Florida job sites. Verify installations match approved shop drawings, specifications, and finish schedules. Conduct layout checks, field measurements, and readiness assessments before installation begins. Provide daily direction and technical guidance to installers regarding scope, sequencing, and tolerances. Ensure all cabinetry, vanities, panels, and closets are installed per manufacturer and contract standards. 2. Quality Control & Standards Enforcement Perform daily and weekly QC inspections across active units and common areas. Identify deficiencies early and ensure prompt corrective action by installers. Maintain standardized QC documentation, including detailed photo logs and reports. Enforce Spectrum's workmanship standards consistently across all Florida projects. Verify compliance with site conditions, blocking requirements, and MEP clearances. 3. Schedule Coordination & Progress Tracking Monitor installation progress and validate manpower requirements to maintain project schedule. Work closely with GC superintendents to coordinate work areas, unit access, and sequencing. Provide daily status updates to internal project teams and flag potential delays or conflicts. Ensure crews remain productive and aligned with GC milestone deadlines. 4. Punchlist & Project Close-Out Prepare cabinetry-specific punch lists for units and amenity areas. Manage the systematic close-out of all punch items and monitor completion status. Ensure all punch-related materials are ordered, staged, and ready for installers. Support turnover processes with detailed documentation. 5. Meetings, Coordination & Company Representation Attend OAC and trade coordination meetings as Spectrum's field representative. Communicate professionally with GCs, developers, inspectors, and owner reps. Make on-the-spot decisions related to field conditions within defined authority. Provide clear and concise reporting on job progress, issues, and next steps. 6. Field Tickets, Work Orders & Change Management Issue field tickets for out-of-scope work, unforeseen conditions, or GC-requested changes. Document work impacts with photos, measurements, and narrative descriptions. Support project managers in pricing and submitting Florida-specific change orders. Prevent installers from performing any extra work without explicit authorization. 7. Installer Billing Verification & Labor Oversight Validate installer progress for accurate billing approval. Compare invoiced percent-complete against actual field conditions. Confirm appropriate manpower levels at each project stage. 8. Safety & Compliance Ensure subcontractors follow Florida site safety protocols and Spectrum policies. Coordinate with GC safety teams to maintain safe work conditions. Report incidents immediately and participate in investigations and corrective actions. 9. Travel & Mobility Within Florida Travel frequently to active job sites within Florida, often multiple sites per week. Maintain consistent presence on high-priority projects in South Florida, Tampa, Orlando, Naples, and surrounding markets. Must be flexible and responsive to field demands. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience supervising interior construction, millwork installation, or cabinetry installation. Strong understanding of custom cabinetry systems, millwork details, and installation sequencing. Ability to read architectural drawings, shop drawings, and field sketches. Proven leadership managing subcontractors and enforcing quality standards. Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills with GCs and installers. Proficiency with field management platforms (Autodesk Build preferred; Procore acceptable). Valid Florida driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the state. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with multifamily or condominium projects in Florida. Familiarity with Florida construction practices, sequencing norms, and GC expectations. OSHA-30 certification or willingness to obtain. Knowledge of European cabinetry systems or modular interior solutions. Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus.
