Full Job Description Area Director About PURIS:

Position Summary:
The Area Director is responsible for the area specific profit and loss, contract and project management, operations and customer relations. The Area Director will oversee all aspects of daily operations to ensure efficient planning and scheduling of personnel, equipment, and materials to safely complete projects within budget and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Oversee ALL areas of project planning and execution including, but not limited to, project handoff from estimating, project preplanning, review of contract documents and requirements with project management and operations team members to ensure contractual compliance, scheduling, system setup, work execution, progress monitoring and management, project payment requests, fund collection, and close out, including evaluation and communication of lessons learned Act in the Company's best interest and seek opportunities to improve the bottom line while maintaining quality, safety, and customer satisfaction Work with RVP to develop strategic and professional relationships; work to build alliances with external customers, partners, and subcontractors to ensure Company is a well-respected leader in the area and communities we serve Lead, represent and be accountable for financial, safety and other such related performance indicators in the area of responsibility Clearly understand and communicate the area's financial budget and associated EBITDA goals. Display situational awareness related to the area's current financial performance and forecasts Prepare, communicate and be accountable for accurate and timely financial forecasts, budgets, and projections. If financial challenges are encountered, work with the RVP to quickly define, implement, and monitor corrective actions plans Actively participate in bid reviews to ensure estimate accuracy and risk/opportunity assessment consistent with overall Company expectations Work with RVP to establish, maintain, and foster a positive safety culture emphasizing behaviors that promote safe work practices. Ensure Company's safety programs are implemented and instilled in the workplace Embrace, support, assist in communicating and implementing all quality initiatives within area of control Ensure compliance with Company required documents, reports, metrics, etc. to maintain alignment with Company budgetary goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in civil engineering, construction, construction management or other technical studies preferred 5+ years of proven experience in construction, open excavation /utility or trenchless pipe rehabilitation preferred Experience in public and private contracts administration Must possess excellent, inclusive communication skills designed to cover all potential stakeholders Strong, positive, and inclusive leadership with emphasis on driving results and mentoring, developing, coaching a team Measure and monitor performance of the business, to include full P&L responsibility; Adjust quickly and as appropriate Ability to lead all areas of project performance beginning at contract award and continuing through project close-out. Drive safety performance and results of internal team members and ensure contracting partners have appropriate safety measures in place while on Company jobsites
