The company specializes in luxury residential and commercial projects, including custom homes, large-scale remodels, coastal and waterfront builds, and commercial improvements. B&H provides full project management services to guide each build from initial concept through completion. The team is committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and efficient execution tailored to the specific needs of every project. Applicants will join a growing company focused on detail, collaboration, and client satisfaction. Role Description The Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Sarasota, FL, responsible for managing day-to-day operations on active construction projects. This role oversees jobsite activities, coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, and ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and in line with project specifications and quality standards. The Superintendent conducts regular site inspections, monitors progress, resolves field issues, and communicates effectively with project managers, clients, and inspectors. Daily responsibilities include reviewing plans and schedules, organizing crews, enforcing safety and compliance, maintaining accurate logs and reports, and supporting efficient project delivery from mobilization through closeout. Qualifications Experience overseeing residential and/or commercial construction projects, including scheduling, coordination of trades, and on-site supervision. Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality control practices. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documents. Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide diverse teams and collaborate with project managers, clients, and inspectors. Organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to anticipate challenges, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing site conditions. Basic proficiency with construction management software, digital project documentation, and common office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets). Previous superintendent or field management experience with high-end residential or commercial projects is strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus. Ability to work on-site full time in Sarasota, FL, including regular presence on active job sites and occasional extended hours as needed.
