Job Description

About the Position City Doors & More Inc. is looking for an experienced, organized, and dependable Project Supervisor to oversee multiple commercial construction projects. This position will be responsible for coordinating jobs from material delivery through installation and completion. The right candidate must be able to manage installers, communicate with general contractors and project managers, maintain schedules, solve field issues, and make sure our projects are completed correctly and on time. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects without needing constant supervision. Responsibilities Manage multiple active construction projects at the same time Schedule and coordinate installers and field crews Coordinate material deliveries with the warehouse and jobsite Review project schedules and determine manpower requirements Communicate directly with general contractors, superintendents, project managers, and internal staff Attend jobsite meetings when required Perform jobsite walkthroughs before installation begins Verify openings are ready for doors, frames, and hardware Identify incorrect rough openings, missing material, damaged material, and field conditions before they cause delays Coordinate installation of commercial doors, hollow-metal frames, wood doors, hardware, and specialties Verify installers are following plans, door schedules, hardware schedules, and approved submittals Track installation progress and report project status Manage punch-list items and ensure they are completed quickly Document field conditions with photographs and written reports Track additional work and identify potential change orders before work is performed Coordinate with purchasing, project management, warehouse, delivery drivers, and installers Help prevent unnecessary return trips, remobilization, lost material, and labor overruns Maintain professional relationships with customers and general contractors Ensure company quality and safety standards are followed What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate has experience in commercial construction supervision, Division 8, doors/frames/hardware, or a similar construction trade.
Candidates should have:
Construction supervisory or project management experience Ability to read construction drawings and schedules Strong scheduling and organizational skills Experience managing subcontractors or installation crews Ability to manage several projects simultaneously Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to recognize jobsite problems before they become expensive problems Basic computer, email, photo documentation, and scheduling skills Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Experience with commercial doors, hollow-metal frames, wood doors, and architectural hardware is strongly preferred.
