Safety Director- Commercial Construction
Job Description
Director of Safety A well-established general contractor in the Atlanta area is seeking an experienced Director of Safety to lead and oversee the company's safety program across its projects. This is a key leadership position for a safety professional who can build a strong safety culture, ensure OSHA compliance, and work closely with project teams and field personnel to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the company-wide safety program Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and training Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to identify and address safety concerns Investigate incidents and develop corrective action plans Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for field personnel Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry best practices Help promote a proactive, company-wide culture of safetyQualifications:
7+ years of construction safety experience Experience with a general contractor preferred OSHA 500 andOSHA 510
certifications required Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices Experience conducting site inspections, training, and incident investigations Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work effectively with both field and leadership teams Ability to travel to project sites throughout the Atlanta areaCompensation:
