This is a field-focused position responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, inspecting workmanship, and keeping jobsites safe, clean, and organized. You will work closely with ownership and project management to make sure each home is built according to the plans, specifications, and quality standards. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day field operations across residential construction projects. Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, and inspections. Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure construction meets project requirements. Plan ahead to ensure materials, equipment, and trades are ready when needed. Monitor progress against the construction schedule and communicate delays or problems early. Inspect subcontractor work, identify deficiencies, and follow through on corrections before the next phase begins. Resolve routine field issues and coordinate with ownership or project management when clarification or approval is needed. Maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites and reinforce safety requirements with subcontractors. Coordinate required inspections and ensure identified corrections are completed. Use JobTread to document daily progress, upload jobsite photos, update schedules, and communicate field issues. Identify changes or unexpected conditions and notify project management before additional work proceeds. Monitor material deliveries for accuracy, damage, and shortages, and help minimize waste. Maintain professional communication with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors. Develop and manage punch lists and prepare homes for final inspections and homeowner walkthroughs. Qualifications Experience supervising residential construction projects from start to finish. Strong knowledge of residential building methods, construction sequencing, and jobsite operations. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and engineering details. Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and holding crews accountable for schedules and workmanship. Practical knowledge of building codes, inspection requirements, and construction safety. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound field decisions. Ability to organize and prioritize work across multiple active jobsites. Clear communication skills and consistent follow-through. Comfort using a smartphone, email, and construction management software for documentation and scheduling. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a residential superintendent, lead carpenter, or construction foreman. Hands-on experience in framing, finish carpentry, or other residential construction trades. Experience using JobTread or similar construction management software.
