Job Description

Job Title :
Assistant Superintendent Immediate Supervisor(s):
Field Operations Manager Essential Duties:
The Assistant Construction Superintendent will support our construction team in overseeing day-to-day operations at the job site. This position will assist the Construction Superintendent in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Assistant Construction Superintendent will be key in coordinating activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support:
Assist the Construction Superintendent in all aspects of daily construction operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination. Create short-term look-ahead schedules.
Site Management:
Supervise and inspect construction activities to ensure the project is progressing according to plan and schedule. Maintain a clean job site.
Subcontractor Coordination:
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Quality Control:
To help maintain quality standards on the job site, perform inspections, identify issues, and ensure that all work meets project specifications and safety requirements. Review submittals and shop drawings. Check plans and specifications for accuracy of dimensions and inconsistencies between plan sheets and specifications. Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and savings measures that arise or may be encountered.
Safety Management:
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations on the job site. Conduct weekly safety inspections and report any incidents or safety hazards to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work progress, site conditions, material deliveries, and labor performance. Report on project status to the Construction Superintendent.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the project management team, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and problem-solving on the job site.
Problem Solving:
Address any challenges that arise during construction, including delays, resource shortages, and unforeseen issues.
Equipment and Material Management:
Assist in managing construction equipment and material inventories to prevent shortages or delays.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree or certification in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction or a related field. Prior experience as a foreman, or in a supervisory role is beneficial.
Knowledge:
Understanding construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical tasks on construction sites, including standing, walking, lifting, and climbing. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Operate basic machinery or equipment such as forklifts or skid steers if trained and authorized.
Certifications:
OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification (preferred). First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
Technology:
Proficiency in construction management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and other relevant tools.

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful.
Includes:
A Cellular Stipend Vehicle Allowance Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
